As the work-based learning coordinator, Dr. Sue Segura helps students plan their careers.
One day, CCSD student Allison Keller met with Segura and shared that she wanted to be a waitress. Already working full-time at Mills Dairy, she loved working on the farm but was interested in gaining experience in the restaurant industry.
Segura suggested she apply to the Courthouse Cafe, believing it would be a great fit. With a newly updated resume and letter of interest, Keller reached out to owner Debbie. Before long, she was given a trial shift, and just as expected, Debbie saw her potential.
Thank you to the Courthouse Cafe for giving Churchill County High School senior Allison Keller this opportunity.
