Graduating Class of 2019 and Parents/Guardians,
Graduation will be here before we know it! For many years the Celebration for Life - Grad Nite Committee has hosted a drug and alcohol free event that is supported by parents and community members. In keeping with tradition this event will once again be held at Naval Air Station Fallon. Graduates will be bussed to NAS Fallon following the graduation ceremony on May 31, 2019 and bussed back around 2:00 am.
The cost for Grad Nite tickets will be $20.19 (Class of 2019). The ticket includes entry to the event and a t-shirt. Grad Nite consists of music by a DJ, games, food, and prizes for each graduate that attends. Some prizes we hope to provide will range from gift cards, TVs, laptops, and cash.
For all this to happen, it takes time, money and planning! We will be having Grad Nite committee meetings twice a month and we welcome you all to attend. Meetings will be announced a week in advance as our schedule varies.
We currently have approximately $14,000 and need to raise just about $28,000 for the Grad Nite event and prizes.
We have some fundraisers scheduled which are as follows:
- February 23, Father/daughter dance @ Pennington Life Center 6-8 p.m.
- March 23, 5K Color Run @ Churchill County/City Gym – Super Hero theme
- April 13, Golf Tourney & Raffle 1:30 p.m. @ Fallon Golf Course
- May 4, Donkey Basketball
- Battle of the Bench (Date to be determined)
- Flamingo Flocking (ongoing)
Donations for raffles at these fundraisers are greatly appreciated and desperately needed.
SENIORS are needed to participate in these meetings, to help plan, organize, and lead activities. All seniors who attend the meetings, events, fundraisers, or volunteer will be entered into a special raffle for prizes.
SENIORS, we will award $25 to the senior who designs the best Grad Nite 2019 T-Shirt! Entries must contain the SENIOR motto and must be turned into to the committee by March 23, 2019.
