Veritas Preparatory School students have spent the last few weeks leading up to Christmas Break remembering Jesus and the reason we celebrate Christmas. The 3rd through 8th grade classes visited the Out of Egypt Food Pantry on Thursday where they distributed Mugs & Mittens to patrons. The kindergarten through 2nd grade classes travelled to The Homestead to sing Christmas Carols to residents. All of the students were blessed to share the joy of Jesus with members of our community at this special time of year.
The school also celebrated the success of our recent See's Candy fundraiser with top seller Dixie Jensen acting as “Headmaster for the Day”. Headmaster Jensen spent the day writing thank you notes to her many loyal volunteers, visiting classrooms to promote physical education with impromptu dance parties, and attending an important lunch meeting with her classroom friend Charley Frey.
Veritas was also excited to welcome a new friend to the K4 classroom this past week. Veritas Prep wishes all of our students, families, friends, and community members a Merry Christmas!
