Country Creamery Ice Cream Shop owners Kyle and Carly Sipherd’s favorite ice cream flavor is Campfire S’more. When they and their four young sons decided to relocate to Fallon from Auburn, California, it was an easy decision to open an ice cream shop, making artisan-style handmade ice cream with mouth-watering flavors using local cream from a local dairy.

The cream is purchased from Model Dairy Milk. Carly’s family, Bret and Teri Sorenson, own Cottonwood Dairy in Fallon, and their milk is sold at Model Dairy Milk. So, the Country Creamery ingredients are fresh and locally sourced.

Kyle hand stirs the ice cream on a cold plate daily, and it is ready in minutes. Carly makes the handmade waffle cones fresh daily, using only the freshest ingredients and no artificial flavors. They have 11 Forever Flavors and two Seasonal Flavors for each season of the year.

For artisan-style handmade ice cream, go to the Country Creamery at 2030 Reno Highway, Suite A, inside The Grid Market and Brewery.

Comment author: Jane HiattComment text: I just adored this man and his kindness and calm manner. I remember doing live interviews on KVLV when I sang with the Lahontan Valley Concert Choir and wanted to get the word out to the public on our performances in the valley. Since 1972, Mike and Dee have been among my most treasured friends. I will certainly miss him knowing he isn't there anymore.Comment publication date: 2/16/25, 8:34 AMComment source: Obituary - Joseph Marvin “Mike” McGinnessComment author: KelliComment text: I'd use firm. Press it for a bit (drain and put a plate on top) to squeeze out some of the moisture. Then crumble it up and add instead of the chorizo.Comment publication date: 2/15/25, 12:34 PMComment source: What’s Cooking in Kelli’s Kitchen - Cheesy Green Chile Bean BakeComment author: James SmackComment text: Sorry to hear about Mike, and thank you for sharing your memories. Dean had me dive a four up on the September train that same year. In 1981 I spent a week working as a swing outrider when he ran his famous 20 up in the Carson City parade. He taught me how to hitch and drive multiple teams. We had a great relationship and never a crossword. I will always appreciate his patience and great sense of humor.
