Friday File -- a note to readers

Friday File -- a note to readers
The Friday File goes out to our email subscribers every Friday morning at 5:00 a.m. as a reminder of what’s going on with the paper and gives a listing of the top stories from the past couple of days. If you already saw this in your email, disregard -- if you did not, please sign up to get our emails here Many of our readers are not on social media, so they don’t get the daily reminders that those platforms allow. People have also been asking me to revive my old column from the “Fallon Star Press” days, and I think that would be really fun, but at this moment, as I work through developing a system and a schedule for posting stories, this is as close as we’re going to get. It occur to me though, that only the email people get to see this, so from now on we’ll post it on the website as well for everyone to see…   Ahhhhhh, graduation. Parties, family, celebrating, dodging Nevada May weather... what a fun, amazing week. We’ll be moving furniture into the new office this afternoon and come Monday, we’ll be open in a real space. We’re not just virtual anymore. Come by and see us next week at 601 S. Maine Street. We’re also growing our Fallon Post staff/family and welcome two new members to our team. Melanie Keener joins us and she is making the rounds meeting with businesses and is available for all of you who are needing advertising. We also have Susan Weikel coming on board as our education liaison. She will be working with each school site to make sure we’re getting all the latest happenings from the school district, Oasis Academy, WNC, the Seventh Day Adventist Elementary, and Logos Christian Academy. As always, thank you so much to all of you who are supporting us with your “subscriptions” on the Contribution page, we appreciate you more than you know. Please make sure you support our advertisers, and keep spreading the word — tell all your friends about the paper. Congratulations to all the graduates, enjoy your families, have a fun safe weekend — Rach   Never miss a meeting or community event – keep an eye on the community calendar at https://www.thefallonpost.org/events/ If you like what we’re doing, please support our effort to provide local, independent news and contribute to The Fallon Post, your online news source for all things Fallon.
