Michael “Mick” was born in Bagington Village in Warwickshire England on September 13th, 1939, 10 days after World War II started. He had 3 older sisters, Joan, Brenda, and Enid. Later followed a brother John who sadly passed away the day after his birth. Rosalyn and Kath joined the family in 1947 and 1948.
After leaving school at 15 he began a 5-year apprenticeship with East Midlands Electricity Board where he stayed until he retired in 1997 at the age of 58.
When Mick was 17 he met Ann Perkins at a dance school in Coventry. They married on October 1st, 1960 and lived in Potters Green Coventry. Two children followed. Stephen in 1961 and again sadly a baby girl followed who did not survive the birth. Because of this and not wanting an only child, they picked Clare to adopt. They finally settled in Barwell Leicestershire in 1965.
After the passing of his first wife in 2002, Mick married Leila Johnson in October of 2009. They split their time between Nevada and England attending as many family events as possible, making Fallon Mick’s second home. He loved prioritizing time for his children, grandchildren, close friends, and other family members on both sides of the Atlantic.
Mick had a generous heart and was always there for anyone that was in need and it is these qualities that made him and Leila a perfect match for each other. Both loved sharing stories of their many adventures and travels all over the world.
Mick was proud of how his American and English families bonded and have become not only great friends but true brothers and sisters.
Leila's passing on January 28, 2023, was shortly followed by Mick’s on February 7th, 2023. Mick is survived by his children and their spouses Stephen (Amanda) Barber, Clare (Michael) Elshaw, DeLea (Fernando) Rollano, Scott (Sarah) Johnson, Jewel (Joe) Fain, Spencer (Blair) Johnson, Amberlee (Steven) O'Driscoll, Stanley (Louise) Johnson, 23 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
A private gathering was held on the family ranch to honor Mick’s life.
