Obituary - Matthew Biddinger
Matthew Biddinger

On Friday, January 27, 2023, Matthew Biddinger passed away quietly at the age of 51.

He was born on February 20, 1971, in Fallon, Nevada to Steven and Wanda Biddinger. He graduated from Churchill County High School and went on to attend the University of Nevada, where he earned a B.A. in History. After college, Matthew moved to New Jersey to explore the big city life. He eventually moved back to Fallon with his budding family accompanying him.

Matthew enjoyed participating in and watching sports. Before high school, he was the National Junior Olympics champion in the discus. In his senior year in high school playing football, Matt was an All-American on the “Bigger, Stronger, Faster” team. He also won several regional and state titles in the shot put and discus. At Nevada, he was one of the best freshman javelin throwers in the country and assisted his team to a Big West Track and Field Conference Championship.

Matt enjoyed being outdoors and could often be found grooming the grounds on his beloved family ranch, as well as helping others with their outdoor needs. He was also known for his sense of humor and quick smile.

Matthew was preceded in death by his mother Wanda, and brothers Robert Biddinger and Arnold Pritchard. He is survived by his daughter Isabel and son Luke, Father Steven Biddinger, sisters, Lara Biddinger, Debra Pritchard, Juanita Orozco, brother James Pritchard, and several nieces and nephews.

A service will be held on February 14, 2023, at the Smith Family Funeral Home in Fallon at 2 p.m. A graveside service will follow, and a reception will be held at the funeral home. If so inclined, Matthew asked attendees to wear Greenwave gear.
