Cub Scouts Get Creative with Fundraising

Cub Scouts Get Creative with Fundraising

Cub Scout Pack 38 is looking to make a Fallon VIP dress in a silly costume on their float for the July 4th parade. Sheriff Richard Hickox, City Councilwoman Karla Kent, CCHS Vice Principal Rachel Knight, and Fallon Police Department Officer Jessica Zamora have volunteered to help the Pack raise money by agreeing to dress up for the parade if they win the most votes. Which Fallon VIP would you like to see wearing a silly costume in the 4th of July Parade?

Voting in the fundraiser is for a worthy cause. Scouting is a great way to get kids involved in positive activities, and it builds strong character for them in the future.

“We would really appreciate your vote,” said Sheriff Hickox’s staff in an online plea, “the Sheriff wearing a silly costume would allow us to photograph him in the aforementioned costume and use it for computer screen savers at the department.”

Councilwoman Kent also went to social media to urge support for the fundraiser and encouraged voters to pick Hickox when they cast their vote and if voters went into Kent’s Supply Center to vote, she would donate along with them.

Voting is available with cash at Louie’s Home Center, Kent’s Supply, Big R, Skips, or Jerry’s Restaurant.

Or at https://www.fallonchamber.com/event/cub-scouts-pack-38-invites-you-to-vote/ with the QR codes.

Voting ends on July 1st. Remember, it’s for the kids and scouting, so vote often.
