Herman was my step-dad. Although I lived in Monterey, CA with the parents of his first wife, Kathy, he was one of two father figures growing up. He was a giant, and a sweet person. I remember visiting in Hawthorne and then in Fallon. Rest in Peace.

Met Herman for the first time in 1979 when I got stationed at NAS. A real down-to-earth man. Throughout the years. we would run into each other and re-hash old memories. He will be missed.

I had the pleasure of working with Herman when I was stationed at NAS Fallon weapons from 195 to 1977. He taught me a lot and was an inspiration to us junior sailor. Rest in Peace Herman.
