Churchill County School District’s first-ever Kindergarten Registration Night will be held at Lahontan Elementary School on Tuesday, April 26 from 5:30 until 7:00 pm. Bring your child with you and register for kindergarten.
This is a great opportunity to explore Lahontan, meet the staff and Kindergarten teachers, and get an introduction to Churchill County School District. Once registration is complete, you and your child can take a tour of the school, meet our staff, and enjoy a meal in our cafeteria provided by Chartwells. Food will be served between 5:45 - 6:45 pm. Information regarding pick up/drop off, lunch, the first day of school, etc. will be also provided. Please note, that your child must be five on or before 08/15/2022 (the first day of school). One Time Exception: if your child turns 5 on or after 08/15/2022 and on or before 9/30/2022, you have the option for the 2022-2023 school year only to sign an affidavit that your child completed one year of a pre-kindergarten program if you want your child to start kindergarten this year.
Please remember to bring your child's state-issued birth certificate, a valid ID for parent/guardian, AND your child's current immunization record. We can scan your documents or upload digital copies.
If your child is already registered, please come to this fun event to explore Lahontan and to learn more about Churchill County School District. If your child attends Northside Early Learning Center until the end of this school year, then he/she DOES NOT need to be registered for Kindergarten. Your child will AUTOMATICALLY roll-up.

This time will allow for our teachers and families to partner together for learning."
