Mayor Ken Tedford presented his appointments to the various departments to the Fallon City Council in a special meeting this week.
“As the CEO of a city without a manager who does everything, I count on the department heads to run each department as efficiently and frugally as possible, following a pattern that has been established for many years,” he said upon presenting the list of his cabinet members to the council.
City Attorneys include Mike Mackedon, Trent deBraga, and Sean Rowe. Bob Erickson is Chief of Staff. The Municipal Court Judge is Mike Lister, and the Chief of Police is Kris Alexander along with his two captains, Ron Wenger and John Frandsen. The City Clerk/Treasurer Sean Richardson serves with deputies Elsie Lee and Michael O’Neill. Brian Byrd, the head of the Public Works department works with deputies, Ryan Swirczek, Adrian Noriega, and Kevin Gulley. The City Engineer is Derek Zimney, the Directory of Tourism is Jane Moon, and the Emergency Manager is Steven Endacott.
The mayor also presented for approval the list of board and committee appointments, including 24 different groups from the Board of Adjustment to the IT/Cybersecurity Task Force.
Tedford said he appreciates each person for their contribution. “They work awfully hard and are really doing a good job work as a team, working through me for you. That’s why we get such good results for the citizens. We are always asking, ‘how can I serve the citizens better’ as we work for them at the city.”
