Local Holiday Resources

The Fallon Post will continue to add to the list of events and services in our community as we become aware of them. If you and your organization are hosting any program for the community, please let us know at [email protected] and we will get that on our community calendar and help spread the word.

Toys for Tots, Marine Corps League High Desert Detachment

It's getting to be that time of year again. The Marine Corps League Toys For Tots program in Fallon is well underway to help fulfill the Christmas wishes of our community's needy children. Due to Covid-19 more families will be in greater need this year. We are also limited to the number of volunteers that we can have because of the State and Foundation guidelines. So we are asking the community for even more help this year. Help support us by becoming a Toy Donation Drop Site by going on our website at https://fallon-nv.toysfortots.org . Go to "Get Involved/Volunteer" and click on "Become a Toy Drop Site". Fill out the online form and click "Submit" at the bottom.

If you would like to also receive one of our Cash Donation boxes, please annotate that in the Additional Information box on the form. A Toys For Tots coordinator will respond back within 24 hrs. We will post your business on our website as a toy drop site and as a sponsor. If you have any questions, feel free to visit our website and contact us. Thank you for supporting us because "Every child deserves a little Christmas.”

The Churchill County Sheriff's Office is proud to announce they are now a drop-off location for Toys for Tots. The drop off box is located in the front lobby of the office located at 180 West A Street and is accessible 24/7.

If you wish to sign up a child as a recipient of these donations, there is an information pamphlets available, or visit the Toys for Tots website and submit a request. Happy Holidays from the Churchill County Sheriff's Office.

P.S.  Any Grinches who try to take instead of leaving a toy will be hunted down by Deputy Cindy Lou Who and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

American Legion will host both a Thanksgiving and a Christmas Dinner, FREE for anyone in the community from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on November 25 and December 25.   The Legion is located at 90 N. Ada Street.

Epworth Methodist Church Community Thanksgiving Dinner on November 22, at 4:30 p.m. at 280 E. Stillwater Ave.

Fallon Community Thanksgiving Dinner on November 25, at Noon at 93 W. Center Street. Must RSVP to [email protected] and dinners will be available for pick up as well.
