Vitoriano Pacheco was arraigned in Justice Court on August 29. Pacheco was charged with Battery which constitutes Domestic Violence with Substantial Bodily Harm, a Category C Felony that carries 1-5 years in state prison, and a potential fine of up to $10,000. According to the allegations, Pacheco struck his girlfriend in the face, breaking her nose. A status hearing is set for Thursday, September 2. Pacheco advised the court he will be retaining his own counsel.
James Pederson was arraigned August 29 on charges of Resisting a Public Officer on June 23, 2021. Resisting an officer is a felony if a firearm or other dangerous weapon is used. Otherwise, the offense is treated as a misdemeanor, punishable by up to 6 months in jail and fines of up to $1,000. Pederson entered a plea of not guilty and a trial was set for December 10.
Jose Molina was arraigned on charges of Simple Battery on July 21, 2021. Simple Battery that does not cause injury is treated as a misdemeanor punishable by up 6 months in jail and a fine of up to $1000. According to the allegations, Molina struck Adrian Alaniz multiple times. Molina pled not guilty and the trial was set for Oct 1. Molina stated he will be retaining his own counsel.
Thomas Walla was arraigned on September 1 on charges of (1) Driving while Under the Influence, (2) Failure to Report an Accident to Law Enforcement, (3) Failure to Drive on the Right Half of the Roadway, (4) Driving with a Revoked Driver’s License while Under the Influence. Walla was appointed a public defender and status is set for September 2.
