The West Side of Maine Street

I took this photo in May 1970. The old Sagebrush Restaurant & Casino was giving away what looks like a Ford Pinto. The yellow sign on the wall of Frankie’s Club was not placed there by a religious organization. It was a political advertisement for Alan Bible, one of Nevada’s U.S. Senators at the time. Senator Bible was a local boy who graduated from CCHS in 1926.
