On Saturday, July 17th, 2021, Roy Rogers, loving husband and father of four children, passed away at age 87.

Roy was born on January 2nd, 1934 in Bellmead, TX to Jesse and Nannie Rogers. On August 30th, 1957, he married Erma Dean Rogers. They moved to Fallon in 1971, started a farm, and they raised 5 children together Dawn, Julene, Rob, Nancy, and Bucky. Roy and Dean also opened their home to nearly 85 Foster Children.

Roy served in the US Airforce and worked as an MP. Roy loved working with his hands, providing for his family with many construction projects throughout Reno and Fallon for many years. Roy enjoyed his years spent selling homes in Churchill County. He had received numerous achievements for his accomplishments in Real Estate. He served his community by driving for the Disabled American Vets, getting them to their doctors' appointments, and hearing their stories.

Roy was preceded in death by his Daughter Dawn Meigs and her Daughter Devada Ray Drake. He is survived by his wife Erma Dean, 4 of his children, Julene Peterson, son Rob Rogers, Daughter Nancy Corbett, Son Buck Rogers, his last living sibling Diane Volpe of 7, 22 Grand Children, and 19 Great Grand Children.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, July 24th, 2021 at the New Beginnings Church, 1191 Stillwater Ave, Fallon NV, 89406 at 2 o’clock p.m.
