Floyd C. Michaels “Clyde” Passed away peacefully December 18, 2020, at home in Fallon Nevada with h daughter Leslee by his side. Floyd was 83, born January 17, 1937, in Morristown New Jersey to Harvey S. Michaels and Dorothy E Delp, growing up with his Sister Quinlyn and Brother Harvey.
He joined the Air Force with his sister in 1955, meeting his future wife Elizabeth Boyll in Washington D.C. at Bolling Air Force Base. They were married and traveled to Japan and Hawaii where their daughters were born. After separation from Betty, Floyd traveled to Nicaragua to work in 1979. When he returned to the U.S., he worked for US Geological Survey mapping thermal hotspots throughout Utah and Nevada. While doing this he found his way to US Gypsum company in Empire, Nevada, and worked there until he retired.
While there he had another daughter and remarried Betty in 2003. They bought a house in Fallon Nevada for retirement. He was very interested in family history and enjoyed going to a family reunion, meeting so many families he never knew he had. He liked to tinker and was great at doing maintenance on a lot of things. He loved being with his family and all the great family time they had. He and Betty enjoyed the houseboat trips at Lake Powell with family and friends. He was always interested in the weather, gold prospecting, and coin collecting. He loved watching all things “cowboy” especially the rodeo.
Floyd is survived by his sister, Quinlyn Moore, and brothers Frank and Greg Bush, Daughter and son-in-law Leslee and Ron Peterson of Fallon. Daughter Kelly of New York. Daughter-in-law Kim Maker of Minnesota, Grandchildren Megan, Cjay, Cydney, Johnathan, Floyd, Samantha, and Justin. Great-grandchildren Emrys, Ryker, and Donna. Proceeded in death by his Parents, Wife Elizabeth, Daughter Bernadetterose D. Pavan, and Son Mark Maker. No service has been planned. His family will be gathering in private for a celebration of life.
