Patricia Gay Boden, 91, died Nov. 12 at Highland Manor in Fallon.
Born January 4,1929 in Elko to Leland S. and Alma Cooper, Pat lived most of her life in Fallon. She worked for the Fallon Clinic, the Diehl, Evans and Recanzone law firm and for the 3rd Judicial District Court where she was executive secretary to the District Judge.
Pat loved dogs, often adopting them from the animal shelter. She also enjoyed traveling, painting and playing bridge. She was an oil and watercolor artist and liked traveling with friends as a member of the Oasis Sam’s Travel Club. She was active in civic affairs serving on the Churchill County Library Board and the County Museum Board. She also was on the supervisory committee of the Churchill County Credit Union.
Pat’s terrific dry sense of humor, sharp wit and hearty laugh were appreciated by her family and friends.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband Beryl Boden, her brother Don Cooper, sister Gwenda Backman, brother Leland Cooper and step-mother Eileen Cooper. She is survived by brother Stan Cooper of Santa Fe, NM and nieces Kristen Cooper Rush of Novato, CA; Marvis Cooper Shelby of Tucson, AZ; nephew Grady Cooper of Fallon; and nephews Mike, Jon and Scott Cunningham of Fallon, as well as many grandnieces and grandnephews. She is also survived by nieces and nephews from her late husband Beryl Boden.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
