A reminder from the Churchill County School District: There is no school for students and staff on Wednesday, November 11, 2020, in observance of Veterans Day.
Notice of Additional COVID Cases
Churchill County School District has received reports of additional students who have tested positive for COVID-19. All students and staff identified as primary exposures through contact tracing have been or will be contacted by school officials.
Please continue to be diligent about the use of face coverings, physical distancing, good hygiene, and following the guidelines provided by the state. The district will stay diligent to ensure when, if necessary, the classrooms, building, or district may need to move into fully remote learning.
At this time, all schools within the District will continue to remain open as they currently are for those enrolled in the AM/PM model. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the District Office (775) 423-5184.
11/9/2020 cases have been identified as follows:
Churchill County High School
- 1 student who was last in attendance on 10/23/2020
Churchill County Middle School
- 1 student who was last in attendance on 11/2/2020
Lahontan Elementary School
- 1 student who was last in attendance on 11/5/2020
- 1 additional classroom moved to full-time remote learning
The District has taken all measures of action related to the safety and well-being of all students and staff in each building and is committed to providing the most current and verified COVID-19 information available. Please note that the district is constantly reviewing countywide cases, internal cases, and the total number of student and staff exclusions occurring to make sure that we are protecting the health of all of our district students, staff, and families.
