Omar Apollo released a new album on October 16 that reaches back to a period of R&B that experiments.
Apollo’s album is built in the exact order it is meant to be listened to. The first three tracks are the silky sounds similar to artists like Kali Uchis or Clairo.
The tracks transition into a track titled Dos Uno Nueve (219) that injects a fantastic Spanish sound into the conventionally bass heavy R&B rhythms.
Apollo uses familiar funk sounds with other interesting additions to allow his tracks to have a little something for anyone.
This album is shorter than most with only nine tracks, but makes a fantastic atmosphere for cooking something new in the kitchen, watching a sunset, or enjoying a date night with a significant other.
