Trampus Allen Bell entered a guilty plea on charges of battery with a deadly weapon. Justin Oakes, Esq., defense counsel for Bell, argued for him to be released on own recognizance. He stated that this is Bell's first major criminal charge. Bell was originally arrested on charges of alleged attempted murder and battery with a deadly weapon with bail set at $1,030,000. Judge Stockard granted the release requiring Bell to be strictly supervised by Court Services. He is scheduled to appear for sentencing on December 1st.
Brian Langlois Calhoun failed to appear for an arraignment on charges of allegedly possessing an electronic stun device and having fictitious plates. A warrant was issued and bond was set at $25,000.
Benito Credo Camba was scheduled to be arraigned on charges of alleged lewdness with a child under 16. Proceedings were continued for three weeks.
Frances Conley was arrested on March 3rd on charges of possessing a controlled substance in which the Task Force confiscated 15.4 grams of methamphetamines. She was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and trafficking. Per plea negotiations, Conley entered a plea of guilty on a reduced charge of attempting to possess an excessive amount of methamphetamines. According to Assistant District Attorney (ADA), Chelsea Sanford, Conley's extensive criminal history includes a two-year prison term for drug trafficking as recent as 2016. Conley was granted probation and a suspended sentence of 19-48 months.
Daniel Peter Jeppsen was sentenced on charges of fraudulent use of a credit or debit card. According to ADA, Priscilla Baker, Jeppsen used a credit or debit card to purchase gasoline without authorization of the cardholder. He received probation on a suspended sentence of 19-48 months, community service, and was ordered to pay restitution.
Eduardo Landeros plead guilty on charges of battery on an officer. According to ADA, Jeffrey Weed, Landeros was arrested on August 14th for driving under the influence, after he hit another vehicle. Landeros resisted arrest and head-butted the officer who was attempting to place him in the patrol car for transport to Churchill County Jail. Landeros continued to bang his head on the cage once in the vehicle causing damages of about $200. The officer involved sustained minor injuries.
Landeros was also charged with domestic battery stemming from an incident in 2018. The ADA also reported that Landeros has several prior criminal convictions including criminal contempt, use/possession of a controlled substance, battery by a prisoner, domestic battery 1st offense, and a DUI 1st offense. Landeros received a sentence of 75 days in jail with 25 days credited for time served. He is scheduled to appear for sentencing in Justice Court on the DUI and domestic battery charges. He is also currently on an I.C.E. (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) hold.
Matthew Marcel Sladariu entered two guilty pleas for stealing a motor vehicle and damaging a jail or prison. According to defense counsel, Charles Woodman, Esq., on August 11th Sladariu was operating and in possession of a vehicle that had been reported stolen. Additionally, on August 18th, Sladariu damaged the Churchill County Jail facility. Sladariu will appear for sentencing on December 1st.
