Viviane's Reviews - A modern coming-of-age film for the end of summer

Staten Island Summer is like many teen movies before it.

Saturday Night Live’s co-head writer and Weekend Update anchor, Colin Jost, creates a film based slightly on his life in Staten Island after high school. The main character, Danny is preparing to leave his home in Staten Island, and go to his first days of college. Working as a lifeguard, Danny and his friends throw one last party at the local pool.

This film is great for all ages to wrap-up the summer. More specifically, for those starting college in-person, online, or taking a gap year, this film is a great way to dip your toe in the water. Take your last few days of freedom, grab a fun snack, and enjoy the film.
