Fallon Man Arraigned on Child Pornography and other Charges
Alfredo Felan Garza appeared in Justice Court yesterday on charges relating to luring a minor, child pornography, and possessing weapons illegally

Alfredo Felan Garza, 37, was arraigned yesterday in Justice Court before Justice of the Peace, Benjamin Trotter. Garza was arrested on August 7th and is facing several criminal charges relating to luring a minor, child pornography, and possessing weapons illegally. 

According to the charge sheet, as read by Judge Trotter, Garza is accused of preparing, advertising, or distributing material depicting pornography involving a minor. The event took place on or about January 14th in which Garza allegedly attempted to distribute a video of an unknown pre-pubescent female within Churchill County.

Garza is also facing two counts of allegedly luring or attempted to lure a child or mentally ill person to engage in sexual conduct on or about January 11th and February 16th. The victims are reported to be females 13 and 15 years of age. Additionally, Garza was also charged for the alleged possession of visual pornography of a person under the age of 16. The images reportedly include clothes partially removed that expose the victim(s) undergarment and pubic area.

Garza was also arraigned on charges of allegedly owning or possessing a firearm by a prohibited person. According to the information read in court, he was in possession of a Winchester 12 gauge semi-automatic weapon. Additionally, he was charged with the alleged unlawful use or possession of an electronic stun gun/device by a convicted felon or fugitive from justice, and for possessing of documents or identification information to establish a false status which included a social security card and a permanent resident card.

Garza, currently in custody at the Churchill County Jail, appeared via closed-circuit video for the arraignment. He was aided by an interpreter to ensure he understood the charges filed against him and to inform him of his rights. Judge Trotter assigned Jacob Sommer, Esq., to represent Garza. A status hearing was set for August 13, 2020.

He isn't a Fallon man. He is an illegal or he would not need an interpreter.
