How to enjoy art when everything is closed

How to enjoy art when everything is closed

It becomes slightly complicated to review art when there is no art house open to go to. At the same time, the pandemic has allowed us to figure out how to enjoy things from the comfort of our own homes. Not being able to go on a European summer trip, or fly to the Smithsonian this summer is not stopping me from seeing great works of art, and it does not have to stop you either.

Google has a wonderful tool called “Google Arts and Culture”.

You are able to visit over 2,000 museums, thousands of pieces of street art, and massive garden parks from around the world. Some of my favorite collections provided by Google are from the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington D.C., and the Museo de Bellas Artes de Bilbao in Bilbao, Spain. You are able to virtually visit the entire collection of the largest museums in the world, and even discover museums you have never heard of.

Take a day to randomly pick a blue dot on the globe and visit a fun art collection. It is a great replacement to booking an airline, over packing, and fighting a passenger for your favorite window seat.
