Shortly after 8:00 a.m. this morning a woman accidentally ran her truck through the front doors of the North Maine Post Office, shattering the glass doors and causing damage to her automobile. The Fallon Police Department and an ambulance responded to the scene. The police department conducted a private property accident investigation, and found the woman was not seriously hurt.
According to the police report, the woman said that as she pulled up in front of the post office, she went to push the brake and accidentally pushed the throttle, running her car up over the curb and into the front of the building. Neither alcohol nor drug impairment is suspected.
