
Pioneer Way to be closed Aug. 7-8 for repairs

Road Department fixing broken irrigation piping
The Churchill County Road Department will close Pioneer Way to through traffic from the Reno Highway (50A) to approximately 3 miles west of the Reno Highway on Aug. 7 and 8 to fix broken irrigation pipe under the road.
Motorists and residents are advised to use alternative routes via the Reno Highway, or the Carson Highway (Hwy 50), depending on which side of the closure they are on. The road is expected to reopen Thursday night, Aug. 8th.

Comment text: A little disappointed in the parade and fireworks. With it being America's 250th Birthday, there should have been some more history, as in pioneers walking behind wagons.....etc. And as for fireworks, should have been more spectacular, like seeing hearts, and smiling faces and an American flag all dine in fire works.
