Nevada Division of Water Resources Hosts Public Listening Session on Water Issues in Fallon

The Nevada Division of Water Resources (NDWR) and the State Engineer will host a public listening session on December 17, 2024, in Fallon, Nevada. This session invites community members to share comments, offer suggestions, and ask questions about water-related issues in the area. Community feedback is essential in helping the State Engineer and NDWR address Nevada’s water needs effectively.

As part of a state-wide effort to engage the public in water resource management, NDWR is hosting listening sessions to discuss challenges and strategies for managing Nevada’s critical water resources. With its distinct hydrologic setting, Fallon exemplifies the complex demands placed on surface and groundwater supplies to meet municipal, domestic, industrial, and agricultural needs. Community participation is strongly encouraged.

Tuesday, December 17, 2024, from 5-7 p.m., at the Barrel House (formerly the Multi-Purpose Building), 225 Sheckler Road in Fallon. For additional information, call 775-684-2800.
