On the beautiful Saturday evening of August 17, 2024, Justin Johnson and Emma Fullerton, witnessed by their families and many friends, entered into marriage.

Justin and Emma invited their guests to their home for a beautiful country wedding. The wedding began with the groom being escorted down the aisle by his parents, Lance and Cindy Johnson. Then Emma’s family, her mom, Laurie Fullerton, and Linda Fullerton, Emma’s paternal grandmother, followed by her maternal grandparents Tom and Sharon Kirkpatrick and Aunt Carolyn Greene, all took their seats. The best man, Josh Armitage, and the maid of honor, Marisa Julian, took their places, followed by the groomsmen and the bridesmaids. The men all wore cowboy hats, same-styled western shirts, western jeans, of course, cowboy boots, and cap pistols tucked in their waistbands. The bride’s maid of honor and bride’s maids all wore beautiful southwestern-colored full-length dresses, each capturing the beauty of the individual and the beauty of the moment. Emma chose to walk herself down the aisle and wore a gorgeous gown that sported a train and a turquoise necklace fastened to the back as her only color. The beautiful, independent, self-confident bride could have any number of people to walk her down the aisle, but she did not need that.

The couple spoke their vows to one another, surrounded by their families and friends. After their vows were said, the men shot the cap guns they had tucked in the back of their waistbands to celebrate the occasion. They used their life as their decorations. The hay barn was draped with curtains as a shade, and their vows were spoken in the stack yard. All of this surrounded by beautiful alfalfa fields. After the ceremony, attendees proceeded to the arena for the rest of the evening’s festivities. Strung with overhead lighting, the arena floor was lit for an evening of music, visiting, and an excellent meal catered by B&B BBQ. Lori’s Piece of Cake made the wedding cake, and cupcakes were given to the guests by Nothing Bundt Cakes.

Emma is a real estate agent with Berney Realty, where she will continue to help families find the homes of their dreams or sell their property. Justin is the general manager at Fallon Livestock Processing. Their lives are deeply rooted in the Fallon area.

Who and what they REALLY were. Because they were devotional and IMPORTANT to the humans they connected with. The content of their life bled so that others could feel their own life’s importance. Teachers of justifiable life and art. That all can absorb and use as the best fertilizer for THEIR lives. Giving the silent secrets and the loud guidance. The Melon Man was a perfect specimen for how to devote. His passing meant a life book of feeling/knowing what gives other humans their paths to Love and Knowledge. Some humans are meant to show others their paths. And in that they secrete ways to profitably exist.Comment publication date: 3/18/26, 4:50 PMComment source: In memorium -- The Melon ManComment author: Pam BitschenauerComment text: Ken, thank you for your kind words about Scott our "Mellon Man". My husband and I used to visit with Scott quite often when we lived in Fallon and then whenever we had the chance to as we passed through town. He was truly a good person and will be sorely missed.Comment publication date: 3/18/26, 3:15 PMComment source: In memorium -- The Melon Man
