Enjoy a delicious dinner and dance the night away while meeting a need in our local community at Fallon’s first Harvest For All dinner dance. Hosted by the Churchill County Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers (YF&R), the event will be held at the Fagundes farm on June 8, 2019 and is open to the community.
“We’re excited to have the opportunity to bring this event to Fallon,” says Casey Pomeroy, chairman of the YF&R committee. “Harvest For All is a nationwide program that gives rural communities a platform to donate money, time and non-perishable goods to their local food pantries.”
Tickets for the event are $15 each if purchased in advance or $20 at the door. Children ages five and younger are free. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate. For each item donated they will receive a ticket that can be exchanged for drinks at the bar. In addition to a tri-tip dinner, there will be a silent auction and a dance. All proceeds will benefit food banks in our community. Tickets can be purchased at Just Country Friends. For more information, visit bit.ly/FallonHarvestForAll or email [email protected].
About Harvest For All
Farm Bureau’s young farmers and ranchers have worked for the past 17 years to help provide food to those in need around our country through the Harvest for All campaign. More than 50 million Americans – that’s 1 in 6 – including nearly 17 million children, are food insecure, meaning they live at risk of hunger. In 2018, members donated 32.4 million pounds of food and raised more than $362,000 to assist hungry Americans. Combined, the monetary and food donations totaled the equivalent of 28.2 million meals.
