Obituary — Gregory John Davis

In loving memory of Gregory John Davis.
Obituary — Gregory John Davis
Gregory John Davis

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Gregory John Davis on June 3, 2023, of natural causes. Greg was born February 16th, 1963 in Wichita, Kansas to Robert and Margaret Davis. While they lived in many places including Denver, Colorado, Ardmore Oklahoma, Baker, Montana, and Jackson, Michigan, they finally settled in Fallon, Nevada where Greg’s mother Margaret, was born and raised.

Arriving in Nevada in 1978, the outdoors of Nevada quickly became a part of Greg’s DNA. He loved the mountains, creeks, lakes and especially fell in love with Reese River Valley. While he was always very social, he was one that was happiest while in the desolate outdoors. All he needed was a fishing pole. If you knew Greg, then you knew of his contagious sense of humor and you also knew that every conversation with him would have something to do with fishing. He was a fun-loving father, with a vibrant personality and we are heartbroken that he has left us much too soon. We know in our hearts that he is already up in heaven, fishing with a dog by his side.

Greg was preceded in death by his father Robert Davis. He is survived by his mother Margaret Davis, Sister Susan (Billy) Bracamontes, Son Tanner Davis, Son Braxton (Jessica Daum) Davis, Nephew Jacob (Ann) Curtis, grandniece and nephews Aurora Maddox, Sterling Curtis, and Declan Curtis.

The family will be remembering Greg and celebrating his life through the spreading of his ashes at a date to be determined. If you would like to honor Greg, grab a friend, and take them fishing. “The Charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of that which is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope” Author unknown.

Greg was one of the funniest people I've ever known. He will be missed.
