E.C. Best 3rd grade students got to design their very own Thanksgiving Day Parade Balloon and then participate in a parade through the halls of the school. This activity is an extension to the fall read-aloud book Balloons Over Broadway by Melissa Sweet. Students got to plan, design, and execute their own ideas. Our students not only have fun, but get to hone in on their critical thinking skills. This has become a student and staff favorite here at the BEST.
