Expect lane closures and travel delays on Harrigan Road (State Route 115) and Union Lane (State Road 720) from August 22 - 30, as NDOT resurfaces the routes.
Drivers should anticipate rolling single-lane closures on these roads on weekdays between 7 a.m.- 5 p.m., more specifically on the following days. On Aug 22 and 23, Union Lane between U.S. 95 and Pasture Road. Between August 24 - 29 on Harrigan Road between Berney Road and East Stillwater Avenue and on August 30 on Union Lane between U.S. 95 and Pasture Road. The road work schedule is subject to change.
The roadways will be resurfaced with crushed aggregate rock and asphalt, known as a chip seal, to help protect and prolong pavement life. Often considered the best value for the road maintenance dollar, chip seals also restore roadway friction and aesthetics.
Traffic delays of up to 30 minutes should be expected as traffic flaggers alternate directions of traffic through the work zone. Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes through the area. Brief delays of access to side streets and driveways may occur as paving equipment passes through the area.
Drivers are requested to pay close attention to safe work zone driving tips, including fastening seat belts, slowing to posted work zone speed limits, changing traffic lanes, and especially being aware of the workers and equipment
