On Tuesday, October 26, Diana Edgmon from the Banner Churchill Community Hospital Auxiliary (BCCHS), presented the Churchill County High School EMT program with $500 to put towards purchasing their uniforms. Assemblywoman Robin Titus was present for the presentation along with some of our CCHS EMT students.
Elaine Adams is the instructor for the CCHS EMT program, and she and her students work closely with the Banner EMS team. It is the 2nd year CCHS has offered this program, which has grown to 13 students from the 7 who were in the inaugural class last year. Churchill County School District is not only providing opportunities for our students to be college-ready after graduation but career-ready. This EMT course is one of the many we offer to support our students as they graduate from our district.
