The Churchill County School District has announced that they are having technical difficulties with the district communication system and they need to get the attached message out to parents.
Due to a shortage of bus drivers, there are four bus routes short of drivers. Any child riding bus 24, 36, 38, or 47 will need to be picked up at school today. District staff is apologizing for the inconvenience this causes.
This morning Superintendent Summer Stephens said there were three routes this morning that had no drivers, so there were three bus drivers who ran their normal routes and then ran the second routes.
Communication did go out this morning to those families impacted by the information the district has in Infinite Campus. Parents are reminded to update their contact information in Infinite Campus in order to receive the latest communications. Please call the district office if you do not know how to do that and someone will be happy to assist. 775-423-5184.
Additionally, the district is now offering incentives for new bus drivers and substitutes. Please check out the employment site if you have the spare time or interest to help out.
