Darrell Todd Willmoth pled guilty to False Imprisonment, a Gross Misdemeanor, punishable by 364 days in jail. Churchill County Public Defender (CCPD) Wright Noel, counsel for Willmoth, stated that his client did use physical force to prevent the victim from leaving his residence. He further stated that his client has been going above and beyond to meet the requirements of court services and making sacrifices to maintain sobriety. Willmoth stated that while drinking and watching a basketball game, he discovered that his long-time partner was having an affair and he responded inappropriately. Judge Stockard sentenced Willmoth to 364 days in jail with the following conditions: probation not to exceed 12 months with no use of alcohol and random testing for alcohol.

Harlan Dean Taylor pled guilty to Burglary of a Business, a Category C Felony, punishable by 1-5 years in prison. CCPD Wright Noel, counsel for Taylor, stated that his client did enter a business with the intent to commit petit larceny. Sentencing is scheduled for November 9, 2021.

Bryan J. Bankson previously pled guilty to Abuse, Neglect, or Endangerment of a Child Not Causing Substantial Mental or Bodily Harm, a Gross Misdemeanor, punishable by 364 days in jail. Assistant District Attorney (ADA) Chelsea Sanford stated that Bankson woke up angry and upset. Apparently in a bad mood and feeling that his girlfriend’s child should be disciplined. The mother said "no" while trying to separate the child. Bankson walked past the mother into the child’s room, held him down, and proceeded to spank the child repeatedly leaving raised welts on the child. An evaluation stated that Bankson is a low to medium risk for re-offense. Sanford stated that Bankson has proven not to be supervisable since he violated his court services requirements by using marijuana. CCPD Wright Noel, counsel for Bankson, stated that his client suffers from mental health and drug abuse problems that made him unstable but once he can treat his mental health disorders he will not re-offend. Judge Stockard claimed that during the last hearing he observed that Bankson was making attempts to physically intimidate the court. Judge Stockard sentenced the defendant to 364 days in jail, suspended for probation not to exceed 12 months. Bankson must enter and complete Mental Health Court.

Travone Andre Roberson was not present. CCPD Wright Noel, counsel for Roberson, stated that he requested a competency evaluation based on his ability to understand the proceedings. Roberson was bailed out of jail before his hearing today and no one has been able to contact Roberson, there was an email sent to the justice court staff from someone claiming that they are his legal guardian and Roberson is mentally challenged but Wright Noel was not aware of anything being sent. Roberson was originally charged with misuse of 911 and he has a previous criminal history. Judge Stockard issued a bench warrant for his arrest.

They strung them along for years until they had no financial choice but to accept and get out. My Dad even hauled water for the Snow ranch trying to stay afloat. May God bless you all. I truly pray it works out for you.Comment publication date: 3/28/26, 9:22 PMComment source: Local Rancher Says Navy Land Expansion is Devastating His Family RanchComment author: Lynn JohnsonComment text: I remember your mother well; she was a lovely and kind woman. I see glimpses of your face in the years worn onto my dad. It makes me feel more connected to you in some way. I remember the familiar kindness from you that I know in my dad. I would’ve really liked to have a good conversation. I only have a handful of memories with you, but you were loving, and you were kind. I wish I was able to say more. If I am someone to you, I hope I make you proud. Thank you Aunt for this sweet post.Comment publication date: 3/27/26, 12:11 AMComment source: Obituary -- Randolph Floris Banovich C Comment author: RBCComment text: The Navy should reimburse the market cost of replacing the grazing land they are taking.
