Service Club Signs- A Collaboration Between NDOT And Local Nevada Communities

Anyone driving into any rural Nevada Community has likely seen those white community services sign stands at the edge of town that list the local churches, service clubs, and other nonprofit organizations.

Three community church and service club sign stands in the Fallon area were recently damaged in a car crash. NDOT will replace and reinstall the sign stands amid other road maintenance duties.

White Community churches and service clubs signs are commonly seen alongside Nevada highways entering rural communities, offering Nevada towns the opportunity to highlight nonprofit service clubs, charitable associations or religious services. NDOT partners to provide and install the sign panels listing the individual community organizations.

Per Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) 410.550, chambers of commerce and other local entities can permit these roadside signs through the Nevada Department of Transportation, allowing community leaders to highlight community non-profit and religious organizations in accordance with Nevada Administrative Code.

Community partners, such as chambers of commerce, are responsible for engraving and keeping organization names current on each individual sign panel, in compliance with NAC. If a community service club sign structure is damaged, NDOT repairs the sign structure.
