On Wednesday, March 31, members of the Churchill County Sheriff's Office sat in on a meeting hosted by Nevada Department of Transportation regarding road repairs on U.S. 95 South between Fallon and Schurz. The purpose of the meeting was to advise those in attendance of the following.
The portion of U.S. 95 South from just south of the City of Fallon Landfill and extending to Schurz will be shut down to all traffic beginning on April 19 until April 29. Traffic headed North or South will need to take an alternate route during this time.
It is expected that after April 29 one lane traffic with pilot cars and 30 minute delays will resume until completion of the project.
As more information becomes available we will continue to provide updates.
