Melissa McCarthy saves the world with compassion in this new film. Superintelligence follows Carol Peters as she tries to make the world a better place. McCarthy’s character volunteers at many non-profit organizations, cares for her friends and others, but keeps to herself overall.
One morning changes her life, as a super artificial intelligence contacts her through her toaster oven and asks to observe her interacting with the human race. If the intelligence likes what he sees, he will help humanity save itself. If it does not, the world will be destroyed.
But on the bright side, the artificial intelligence uses the voice of James Corden to keep everyone calm.
This film was interesting, and hilarious. The film makes the audience feel like doing good and supporting their fellow human. And it is all because of how compassionate McCarthy comes across in her character. This film raises a lot of questions about fast fashion, vehicle sustainability, humans’ self-absorption, and really, just kindness in general. In times of division, this movie makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, while also providing a McCarthyesque giggle.
