In light of the changes in our lives due to COVID-19, families are getting creative with their celebrations, as Linda Rasmussen says, "to prove life can go on."
The Rasmussen family hosted a drive-by graduation parade for their son, Dillon, recently to celebrate his graduation from Southern Utah University in Ceder City, Utah. Dillon graduated with a degree in Construction Management and will take a position as project manager for A & K, here in Fallon.
Friends were invited to meet in the Rasmussen neighborhood for a parade in Dillon's honor and asked to remain in their cars. Several arrived parading balloons and posters. Dillon was "awarded" his diploma by his sisters, Audrey and RayAnn.
Anyone wishing to announce the graduation (high school or college) of their students are welcomed and encouraged to submit name, degree, honors, school, and future plans along with photos to [email protected]. We also encourage wedding, anniversary, birthday, and other momentous occasions.
