Arrest Made in Fatal Pedestrian Accident

A man has been arrested in the ongoing investigation regarding a fatal pedestrian accident that occurred in mid-February at the corner of Williams Avenue and Carson Street, the Fallon Police Department reported today.

The driver, Marcin Bojarski, age 36 of S. Nevada Street, Fallon was arrested on a warrant being alleged to have committed the offense of driving under the influence causing death. The warrant was issued after blood testing revealed the presence of intoxicants. He is currently incarcerated in the Churchill County Jail, being held on $100,000 bail.

The FPD said on Feb. 15 at about 7 p.m., a vehicle struck Theila “Teddee” Berry while she was crossing the intersection near Fallon City Hall. Bojarski remained at the scene and spoke with police officers.

The Nevada Highway Patrol responded to the scene, since Williams Avenue is a federal highway, and conducted the accident investigation.
