The Democratic 2020 Presidential Caucuses and Early Voting

The Democratic 2020 Presidential Caucuses and Early Voting
Submitted by the Churchill County Democrat Central Committee —

There has been one major change to the Nevada Democratic Party's First in the West Presidential Caucus in 2020.  That is the addition of an Early Voting option.  This is to allow for more voter participation in the process.  Early Voting in Churchill County will be held Saturday through Tuesday, February 15-18, 2020 at the Old Post Office in Fallon.  Early Voting will be a fairly easy process and will take a small amount of time.

The Presidential Precinct Caucuses will occur on Saturday, February 22, 2020.  There will be two locations for the precinct caucus.  Precincts 1-8 plus Precinct 15 will meet at Epworth United Methodist Church in The Wolf Center.  Precincts 9-14 plus Precincts 16-19 will meet at Churchill County Middle School in the Gymnasium.  Caucus Day on February 22 is a much more involved process.  Registration begins at 10:00 a.m. and will close at 12:00 p.m.  Once all attendees are checked in, the Precinct Caucuses will be called to order shortly after 12 noon.   Once you are checked in, you must stay in your precinct meeting until all caucus business is completed, and this process will take approximately another 2 hours.  Please note that once you have checked in you cannot leave until the caucus is officially closed by the Precinct Chair.   If you don't feel that you can spend 4-5 hours of your Saturday to attend on February 22nd, your best option is to Vote Early.

The Nevada State Democratic Party has been recruiting and training volunteers for several weeks to make sure that the Precinct Caucus runs as smoothly as possible.  For more information check out the Nevada Dems website (https://nvdems.com/2020-caucus/).

Caucus Early Voting will be located at The Old Post Office - 90 N. Maine Street

It makes me feel more connected to you in some way. I remember the familiar kindness from you that I know in my dad. I would’ve really liked to have a good conversation. I only have a handful of memories with you, but you were loving, and you were kind. I wish I was able to say more. If I am someone to you, I hope I make you proud. Thank you Aunt for this sweet post.Comment publication date: 3/27/26, 12:11 AMComment source: Obituary -- Randolph Floris Banovich C Comment author: RBCComment text: The Navy should reimburse the market cost of replacing the grazing land they are taking. I am Kelly’s sister, Charlene B Johnson and his daughter is Trisha Benjamin. The Fallon Tribal Police acted unconscionably by not notifying the family first. This is devastating for us especially after speaking a little bit with the officer handling the report and The Chief Juarez. Who refused to give me any further details or to at least let me know the FBI was notified and that they were investigating if my brothers death was foul play or not. My understanding is the FBI is called when a body is found. Tribal Chairwoman please do the family a solid and make sure the finding of my brother was due to suspicious circumstances.Comment publication date: 3/24/26, 1:55 PMComment source: Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribe Reports Death Under InvestigationComment author: Nicole GalbraithComment text: Farren - I just saw that you aren’t here with us. I am completely in shock! I met you and hung out with you so many years ago with Jer, and Eden. I honestly can’t believe you are gone…..you were a wonderful human being, with a HUGE heart and soul. Hearing this makes my heart break! You are forever in our hearts, and I can say I feel blessed that I was able to know you! Rest easy sweet Farren xoxoComment publication date: 3/23/26, 12:30 PMComment source: Obituary- Farren Crossland
