The Great Basin Bull Sale returns to the Rafter 3C Arena with four days of events of interest to any rancher, dog-lover, or general livestock enthusiast.

Skilled working stock dogs and their handlers will compete at the Rafter 3C Arena on February 14 and 15 in the Mountain States Stock Dog Association dog trials to kick off the week’s events. Start time is 7:30 a.m. daily, with free admission to the stands.

The Fallon Ranch Hand Rodeo will host a hot iron branding event on February 16 at 8 a.m., where spectators can watch teams of men, women, and families compete for prizes in the lifestyle competition. The event is free to attend.

The traditional, local favorite Bull Sale dinner and dance event begins with a social hour in the arena on February 16 at 4 p.m., with cocktails provided by the Rusty Canteen. The Great Basin Bull Sale tri-tip dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. The night will finish with dancing and a performance featuring country music singer Chad Bushnell, recently awarded “Modern Country Song of the Year” at the Josie Music Awards.

Tickets for the dinner and dance are $30 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under and must be purchased in advance online at greatbasinbullsale.com or with cash at the Community Activities/Parks & Recreation Office, 325 Sheckler Road, weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The main event will finish out the week on Saturday, February 17, at 1 p.m. at the Rafter 3C Arena with the Great Basin Bull Sale, where discerning buyers can choose from a large selection of performance-tested and range bulls for purchase. The bull sale event is also free to attend.
