Local Grant Funds Available

Fallon, Nev., — Churchill Community Coalition is rolling out $92, 344 in grant funds available to local agencies to implement substance abuse prevention activities. These funds are received through the Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Agency (SAPTA), a Nevada state agency that exists to administer the federal block grant funds given toe ach state to fight alcohol and drug abuse.

Churchill Community Coalition is requesting applications for the implementation of evidence-based substance abuse prevention programs, practices, and strategies in Churchill County.

Primary prevention promotes the non-use of drugs and aims to prevent or delay the first use of drugs and the transition to more serious use of drugs among occasional users.
